In the era of information society, education, as a social phenomenon, is coming to the fore as one of the major activities. It has a direct impact on economic, social, and political processes, and determines the level of cultural development. This is primarily due to the greater accessibility of education. New information technologies significantly simplify the knowledge acquisition and transfer. This, in turn, opens up significant opportunities for selfeducation, self-training, and distance learning, thereby facilitating the process of obtaining secondary vocational and higher education. In addition, an active transformation in the relevant areas of modern knowledge and practice is accompanied by intensive interconnected processes of social differentiation and integration. However, like many other social institutions, education is not devoid of certain challenges associated, first of all, with the relationships between education stakeholders. Social work plays a significant role in promoting a positive resolution of socio-psychological and educational difficulties, maintaining the stability of the educational environment, and preventing the formation of negative factors. This article examines the most common socio-psychological issues that arise among different levels of education stakeholders. It outlines the characteristics of social work as a type of activity and identifies professional and personal qualities an educator is supposed to possess. The article analyzes the content and specificity of technologies used by social workers at different levels of education. Since educational efforts most commonly address minors who are only developing value attitudes and self-determination in society, a special attention is given to psychological and educational technologies. Moreover, a significant part of adults doing secondary vocational or university training experience difficulties in determining their place in life and choosing a type of activity. Thus, adults often change career or study profile. The research method is the analysis of open sources, including scientific literature on social work and its implementation in education.Downloads
